Even though the logo may be different than later models from the early 80's, there's no reason to think it's not an early Electra. After all, look how much the Ibanez logo changed from the early days when they were building similar inexpensive Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker knock-offs.

If you look at this page on one of the Electra history sites, you see an early Electra "Long Necker"" Jazz bass. It's a better jazz copy than yours, but the logo is the same, so I'd guess yours is earlier...

PS: Actually, this one is a pretty close match to yours, but the photo doesn't show the headstock and logo very clearly: Invalid Link Removed

I have an electra Jazz copy exactly like this. Model 2271? I bought it at a pawnshop in Maryville, TN in 2000 or so.
The pickups on mine look like a Les Paul- I have two of what's on your bridge pickup. I have seen those pickups on Hondo basses, too. I assume your J pickup was a replacement (my bridge pickup never worked, and only intermittent after re-wire). My bass has a red sparkle pickguard that covers the neck pickup and otherwise looks just like Jazz pickguard. There are holes for pickup and bridge covers on it, but the covers have been removed, and I don't have those.
Anyway, those pickups and tuners indicate to me (only because I saw a 1972 and 1977 catalog HERE: http://www.rivercityamps.com/electrapage/index.php?entry=entry080215-025623 when looking into this bass) that this is an early 70's, because the 1977 catalog shows basses with the traditional fender shaped pickups and tuners.
