Need help identifying Gretsch bass

Hi, could anyone help me identify what model it is, its definitely not the G2220, the decals are different, the strap button is at the 13th fret rather than the 15th and the controls switch is in a different place to the G2220, im struggling to find a definitive answer. G1212 or G1222 maybe ?
It was bought around 2001 and is made in Korea.

Not sure. Has the position of the know and switch been reversed?

I have one badged "Electromatic." I think mine is a 2202 - single pickup at the back edge of the pickguard.

Looks like the original single pickup model that someone added a bridge pickup

Yes the tone and switch are reversed from the newer models

I'd love to see photographic examples of other basses with the switch at the rear; I can't find any.
