Help me? Looking for the best bang for buck cab.
Requirements:
4 ohms
Relatively lightweight. No 8x10s, 2x15s, etc.
Capable of being a single-cab rig (fed with a GB Streamliner 900)
Good for loud fast hardcore punkrock
Under a grand (the more the better) new or used.
I dont do tweeters, but am not against mid drivers. I dont have the time, the patience or the ability to build a fEarful. Id like to have a single-cab rig (again), but am not interested in monstrous fridge style cabs. Big Schroeders might work, but my past experience with them isnt the greatest. Theyre fantastic cabs, but just not (necessarily) my voice. I had trouble getting enough bottom out of them in the past. Would love to keep the cab weight under 100 pounds.
Must be capable of playing small to medium-ish sized venues without PA support.
Suggestions? Experiences? Free apples?
