Hello, i recently install mightymite MMJB150 tuning machines and as i installed my first one, i noticed that the key is really loose, almost like you can spin it freely. I was wondering how i can fix this because i noticed the back of the machine is closed as well. Much appreciated. $(KGrHqJ,!r!FEzmPkg,EBRkoM)F!Wg~~60_57.jpg

There's a screw on the end of the tuner button/key. Tighten it up a bit and the whole thing will feel more secure. It isn't more secure, but it will feel that way. Don't tighten too much though or you will split that tiny white washer between the key and the shaft.

Well i mean like when i actually turn the key and the shaft,it feels really loose like the string can almost drop 5 steps with a single touch of the tuning key.

Try the directions in post #2. That should address your problem.

At the end of the shaft is one screw which appears to only hold on the "wings" of the key which you turn. It also adjust tension against the plastic washer on the shaft, which adjusts the friction required when turning the key. Tighten that screw a little and see if the tuner doesn't behave better. As noted above, don't reef hard on it and crack the white washer.

You have to hold the key still and tighten the screw a little. It squeezes the washer tighter and puts more friction on the tuner to hold it in place.

The button, the part you turn with your fingers to tune up, in the center of the axis of rotation of that button.
