Need help with calculating floor space

I'm doing a project in my 3D design class where I'm supposed to make a tiny house. This means I only get 180 square feet to sit on, although I'm allowed to build up. I should note that this is using a 1:1 ratio, so it's going to be in inches.

That said, I'm designing my house to look like the John Hancock Center in Chicago.

As you can see, its tapered. This is where I need help. My bottom floor is 11"x16". My roof is 10.5"x15.5". There are four floors that are 9" tall. What is the floor space for each floor?

Yes, I realize that sounds like a math problem. If there's a formula I can use, please send it my way.

1st floor = 11' x 16' = 176 sq. ft.
2nd floor = 10.875' x 15.875' = 172.64 sq. ft.
3rd floor = 10.750' x 15.750' = 169.31 sq. ft.
4th floor = 10.625' x 15.625' = 166.02 sq. ft.

Not even close. People don't go up until there is no way to go out. You get three floors above grade and all of a sudden the National Elcetrical Code wants everything in pipe, the plumbers are on you about pumping water up to the 10th floor, the civil engineers are up your butt about compaction tests of the foundation strata followed closely by the concrete company and rod busters......

This is only true for a house and that basically stops after the second floor. Engineering and material costs start to go through the roof once you get higher than that.

It seems like this would depend largely upon the price of real estate at the build site, hence: ranch houses in Texas and skyscrapers in Tokyo.
