Need help with my Boss GT6B.

Hi everyone, I got myself an Boss Gt6b and I absolutely love it. Want to get Paul Grays tone from Slipknot but I have no idea how to replicate it. I am using ibanez SR505L with active pickups and dr ddt 55-135 strings. (my first time asking something on forums, hope I am not doing something wrong). Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm not too familiar with Slipknot but Paul seems to have a gritty and scooped tone? I would try either the Trace Elliot or SWR model with matching cab sim. Try adding a dash of hi-mids with the parametric EQ. I've heard Paul used to use a Rat distortion pedal as well. There are several distortion pedal sims to try all with a clean blend.
I had a 6B ages ago but I hope this helps!
Best wishes,
Brent

That absolutely helped, thank you. Which frequencies are considered hi mids again?
