Important consideration, you are playing at their invitation. It is more a question of balance rather than your rig being loud enough. I play through the church's PA but use a pedal--first because of its tuner, then the preamp. As you become a more credible voice remember the asked you to join them.

Couple questions.

1) Will the church even ALLOW your amp on stage? Some won't because they don't want any state volume at all.

2) What KIND of DI box is it? It may be a preamp did so you would have expected some tone shaping capabilities.

3) What kind of monitoring system do they have? If it is in ears, go back to question 1. If it is wedges (speakers) it shouldn't matter if you bring your amp. But you will need to keep your volume pretty low.

Yes they will allow speakers on stage but they are not use to anyone bringing amps they usually run everything through the house, they use the regular black di box with two inputs and the xlr, monitor wise they have floor monitors and the little speakers on Mic stands (i forgot the name of them) My guess is I will run through my amp and house so yea I will keep my volume down

Ok so i get invited to play at a new church the church has a nice pa setup with subs and all , they would like for me to run through the house using there di box , the problem is i never ran through the house before i always just play through my rig which is always loud enough (1000w) when plugging into the di box is it just as simple as the cable going from th direct out on my amp into there di box? Would my eq i use on my amp be the same coming through there pa system? Thanks in advance

Yes. Your DI out will work just fine.

If you don't want to schlep and they have monitors, get a DI box... or find out if they provide one. That is not uncommon.

There, fixed. Cant stand their/there/they're mistakes. I don't care about the small "i" instead of the normal capital "I" because it's an affectation adopted by a selfless generation. No self, no capital. Sentences should be used once in a while too.
