Need info on Teisco

While you can find a few random exceptions, the vast majority of Teisco basses were of very poor quality - many of them completely unplayable.

Specifically:

-- twisted or crooked necks
-- poor fretwork
-- harsh sounding pickups
-- pickups noisy and microphonic
-- plywood bodies
-- cheap tuners prone to failure
-- bridges not easily adjustable
-- cheap hardware and electronics
