Need opinions on this bass - Help MTD folks!

I'm wanting a new bass. I'm debating getting this in either the 5 or 6 string version.
I have no experience with these. Having a fingerboard that is well setup for low action is CRUCIAL for me. I'm a technical player and love easy playability and the muah that comes from a low action fretless. I also like an instrument to not come to me with flaws (which has happened with the past 4 new basses I've ordered).
So, what do you think of these?
Is the action good?
How's the tone?
Are these worth the money?

Maybe it's just me but I don't see an image. Don't know if you're talking imports or USA customs. I had a first gen Kingston, great bass, very good playability and low action for the price point. I've played a 535, great bass but the active only electronics aren't quite my bag, plus the 35" scale isn't my preference.

Haha I love seeing fretless basses advertised with the Buzz Feiten system...

Yeah that's probably a pretty decent bass for the price... but if I were you, I'd look for an Ibanez Gary Willis signature, new or used. Not the cheaper black version fyi.

I'm a big Tobias fan in all the variations. I am shocked they used this photo with the G string out of the groove in the bridge. It looks like the outside strings make a strong bend to go over the saddle and this one popped loose.

I have one of these in a fretted 6 string. It’s pretty nice to play but I don’t use a 6 very often.

The action is pretty low, about 2/32” at the last fret, a bit more for the E and B string.

Yeah that's probably a pretty decent bass for the price... but if I were you, I'd look for an Ibanez Gary Willis signature, new or used. Not the cheaper black version fyi.

And I had considered the Gary Willis, but I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with Ibanez.
Again, I’m a repair guy, but there are things that I shouldn’t have to repair on a new instrument.
I’ve had stripped truss rod nuts, shorting out volume knobs, bad action.
I’ve had two Ibanez portamentos, but I got rid of each. The finger boards were so bad the action was garbage (especially around the 1st fret area, seemingly a common problem). Bad, dirty electronics. Notes with uneven tone due to knots on the fingerboard.
Maybe I’ve just got bad apples but I’ve never been happy with Ibanez because of quality control.
I’m hoping this mtd would be a bass I’d get that doesn’t have serious issues right out of the box.

Bummer, I've briefly had an sr656 and I thought it was pretty solid personally. I've played two Willis basses and they were flawless, if the strings weren't so tight I would own one... I still may. They're made i believe in Japan by actual luthiers unlike the majority of Ibanez products these days.
