I want to put a Seymour Duncan 1/4lb P pup and a Musicman pup in an old Aria lawsuit jazz copy. I have little knowledge of pots, but I can solder OK and know how to apply shielding. I want to stay passive, but will consider going w/ a pre if it's easy enough. If I can read it, I can usually do it. Please help.

Not quite, the humbuckers left large holes and I removed a little more wood to fit some jazz pups in, then decided to go with something totally different. So far, I've used a Squier P as a model to install a 1/4lb bassline in a 60's Kay P bass, and had used a Squier jazz to do the Aria. Now, both squiers are gone and I'd prefer more info, instead of just copying pot and capacitor layouts from other basses. Any ideas on books or online instructionals maybe??
