Need Trailer for Gear

Has anyone ever seen a small covered trailer that could be towed behind an Accord or Prius? It needs to be able to hold a Whappo Jr, and an Epifani UL-410. So weight is not an issue, only talking about 100 lbs or so, so it does not have to be a super heavy duty trailer ... just water tight.

I have a 1996 Wells Cargo(I think) Explorer tag a long trailer I pull behind my honda Civic. They are hard to find these day though. Its not really a 4x6 but more like 4'x5', all aluminum shell. Wood interior. Super light too. I looked for a while for one, even on ebay, and then one day one showed up at the local pawn shop of all places.
The other alternative is to simply buy a harbor freight 4'x4' and build a wood box on it. Thats where I was headed until I found the one at the pawn shop.
If you're interested I'll post pics of it so you can keep an eye out.

I'm not really worried about the Prius or the Accords being harmed by towing since its probably less stress on it than putting a fat guy in the back seat.. I think the whappo is 55 lbs and the Ul410 about 45lbs... they're just too friggen bulky to fit in the car..

Sorry, I forgot to ask about the towing cap. on a Prius.
heres what my trailer looks like. Like I said, they come up in the for sale ads every now & then. I already have two friends calling "dibs" on this one if I sell it someday.

I hate to overstress the obvious, but it's not the weight that'll put a strain on your car; it's the wind resistance. If your owner's manual says not to tow and you have a mishap, your insurance company will be unlikely to have your back, and you may void your car's warranty.

Thanks for posting Ko... that trailer would be perfect!!!! Its exactly what I'm looking for... thanks...I'll start looking for one.
Jazzdog... I'm over the warranty anyways...I put a lot of mileage on my cars... even my 2005 Accord Hybrid now has 100,000 miles. anyways, I'm not worried about towing such a light rig, and certainly not about warranties...;)

Thread exhumation!

My new car is great, and I knew it would be smaller than my old Citroen Berlingo, but maybe too much so. What are good, and inexpensive, european options for a towed trailer which is secure? A shetland pony trailer would be perfect if such a thing existed. Ideally this would be to transport two PA speakers and stands, amp, monitors, cables, electronic drum kit, bass amp, lights, etc. that are also slightly annoying to haul out of a hatchback. Basses are easy enough to slide onto the back seat. Secure is nice should I ever need to stop enough route, if not essential.

Look at how well flight cases are padded on the inside. That is because trailers are not known for their suspensions. It doesn't matter too much if you are hauling furniture, washer / dryer, Harley Davidson, bricks, etc. but when it comes to delicate electronics...

Let me put it to you another way. Back in the 80's & 90's when I moved a lot, the TV, stereo and other fragile things would go in the car because the ride was smoother.

Not something I'd considered. Luckily the roads in the UK are smooth as a millpond
