Does anyone else have a neotech or other neoprene strap? Or anything neoprene for that matter...those who do, did you notice a super pungent chemical smell? I just got one and the strap is PERFECT except for its super rank neoprene chemical odor. How long does it take this stuff to air out?

Neotech strap: nasty neoprene smell?

I might add that despite the vegan contingement , I've never heard too many complaints about that new leather strap smell ...
If it was an inexpensive job, that could be it. My mask was pretty expensive and it never stinks.

On a serious note, try soaking it in mild baking soda water for a day and rinsing it real good.

yep same here, have one on my Jackson strat, might have smelled when I first got it about 10 years ago. Not now though.
@ArturoOsito That neoprene smell could be a number of things. From types of dye used, different types of neoprene, to type of leather. The smell will go away after a while. Heat can help dissipate the smell. Try placing your strap in sunlight or near (not on) a heat vent while in use. This method can also help remove any wrinkles you may have in your strap!
