New 10 String ERB In The Works

The last 10 I did was a Swamp Ash body with a Myrtle top, and it was hollowed out, no neck dive at all. This being said I'm positive this bass will have no issues. Like Alan is saying the strap button is a key element.

I cut the flame-y birdseye to fretboard length today and will get a pic to you tomorrow, Ryan. should be able to ship it on Tuesday.

well, I'm not as macho as Garry Goodman or Jean Baudin, but it's gonna be pretty imposing. when I saw the caliber of the work these guys did on the original 10, I knew I'd have to have them build me one!

So what do you think those pickups are going to sound like?

well, I don't want to give away too much about the pickups. I have a set of them in one of my J-basses and I love 'em. the set I have in my 4 banger (yes, I've got a 4) has many of the characteristics of a nice single coil J, but with a hint more aggression, a slightly zingier high end signature when you play fingerstyle and the slap sound is just TOO COOL!

this set will be different. Coop's got some of his mad scientist mojo going and I don't want to give anything away... yet!!

sorry for the slow replies, cats. I didn't get any notices that there were new posts and these last days have been insanely busy.

nope, no preamp in this. I'm making some wacky stuff at the shop and considering the pre for one of those...

and don't fear the new and the strange, Wilser. simply admire it from a distance and hope it doesn't fall from its stand!
