I just want to show off this rare unicorn I picked up the other day! It's a 100 watt tube bass head from CNY builder Chuck Dean's Retro-King line. It's kind of like a mini SVT, or a souped up B15. Bass, treble, mid EQ shift, gain and master volume knobs. Passive and active inputs. 2,4, and 8 ohm switch on the back. It has a DI that takes the signal AFTER the power tubes (2 6550s), so you get the whole character of the amp, not just the preamp. Enjoy!

It really does. The upright sounds surprisingly great straight in, though when it gets loud it's best to use a preamp to buffer the piezo signal. Still working on getting it dialed in.

It's a Greenboy F115. And yes, it sounds killer! I've got a F112 that is great as well.

I do! I don't normally go for that sort of aesthetic, but it's growing on me. Might change the knobs for something different...

I used similar tolex on a few of my builds. I bought the knobs from:

Red for volumes and black chrome for EQ. They also have a black with red line that look nice.
