I'm starting to experiment with pedals now after 2 years of playing the bass. My current amp, the Ampeg BA108V2, sounds fine clean or with a pre-amp pedal, but distortion pedals sound really bad on it. Obviously that little guy can't handle the distortion, so my question to you guys is: What's a cheaper amp what will handle distortion pedals and envelope filter pedals?
