New amp or head..

i've been looking to buy a new bass amp and i was wondering if it'd be best to buy a combo with 400 euros or a head for the equal amount of money? could anyone suggest a neat amp model for that kind of money? thanks in advance!

I'd go for the head. Used you could get a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and if you have to order it, it won't kill you with the shipping. It's under 4 pounds and 600 watts at 4 ohm. Tons of tone shaping possibilities with a tube preamp. It's amazing. Check the talkbass classifieds.
