Very cool. Not sure why I'd want an XLR on a fuzz pedal, but other than that it looks really interesting.

New (and improved?!) Bass Big Muff

If a fuzz like this one (or similardistortion like mxr m80+) is set quite early in an effects chain (say.. before filters, mods, delay, etc).. why on earth these pedals have a DI out ?
But looks great though, and list price is 150, does that mean their street price will be cheaper? Nice work ehx.

the DI is a buffered dry output. You could send that clean to the PA and send the effected signal to your amp
The pedal looks great, feature rich and interesting.
It's about time they put out a new product for bass players. MXR has been killing them on that market segment.
That being said, who is the moron running sales and marketing for the company?
They let out a press release and the pedal is not even listed on their own site?
I am not surprised to read Vegas' comment that nobody in the customer dept knows about it. EH makes some interesting and corky pedals but I am not impressed by their communication and marketing skills. Maybe it does not matter when you have such a name in the biz but I've got to think that it must translate poorly in their financial performance.

i don´t get it: why would i send a clean signal to the PA and fx-signal to my amp? 2 different sounds ... i want the audience to hear my effects!?
on the topic: EHX pedals (Bass Big Muff, Q-Tron+, Tube Zipper) NEVER did it for me, but maybe i should give them a very last chance with that new Bass Big Muff Deluxe ... or maybe not, i have enough qualified dirt pedals.

Yesterday I bought a Bass Big Muff. Such a dissapointment. Returned it today. Now I'm glad I did, I'll wait for this one and see if it's any better.

Seriously, what does EHX have against mids?! Do they think we all play jazz or classic rock or something? I loved my ehx bbm until I played it in practice and my bass kept disappearing. I hope this thing delivers, there's a ton of other great muff clones out there and I keep wanting them to release a quality product for bass players that trumps them. It has everything right but a mids knob, or any mention of how mids will sound with it. I just don't know man.

There is a blend knob though, I think it will be very redundant to have a mid and blend + they already put the crossover to sculpture your tone further.

They don't have the dbbm on the front page or anything but if you go to their bass effects it's listed there.
And the musket, and the supercollider... all very popular clones with mid controls or tone bypass because that's what players want. Thing is I'm not talking about those pedals, I'm talking about the latest thing ehx is hawking to us vs. the multitudes of other clones out there.
I'm glad they put in a blend instead of the wonky implementation of a dry mode that was in the bbm that some people even went as far as to mod. As for the crossover... it sounds cool and all but cutting the highs or lows to enhance mids sounds counter intuitive. I could see using the high pass to make some nice sludge sounds but we'll have to see how it actually works. I just hope they did their homework this time to make a quality product is all.
