This would depend on the sound that you are trying to achieve (ie music style). 4x10's seem to be tighter and cut through the mix pretty well, which is very important if you plan to do a lot of slapping, or play with a left hand happy keyboard player! If you plan to play a 5 er, or do any drop tuning, it has been my experience that the ten inch woofer seems to not reach the lower frequencies as well as the 1x15. It is truley a give and take situation. As you continue to play, you will find yourself continuing to seek the perfect rig and you will see that questions like these never go away. This is the reason most of us suffer from GAS pains!
