The ad copy is strange to me.
Dan’s passion sees him making basses in Chicago to order and totally USA built. Basses built to order are one thing but getting a brand out there as he had in the past was not of interest to him.
Yeah, I don’t know what this really means. If these Ashdown basses are essentially the same as Lakin’s old Korean made line, they’ll be very nice IMHO. I’ve got a Lakin P & J that I think are great. I think i’m Set for basses for awhile, so I have no immediate interest, but I’m curious about them anyway.
How they compare to a Lakland Skyline I really couldn’t say. I think they’re a step up from my 4402, but that’s not quite comparing apples to apples.
