I recently recorded an interview for Jason Heath's Contrabass Conversations podcast with the bassist Shigeru Ishikawa.
The interview centers around his performance of a new bass concerto by Joe Hisaishi.

I could find out.
There was a performance in October that will be available to stream online (only in Japan!) soon. I heard that there is some talk of making a recording of the piece for CD.
I assume it will be published, but I have no idea when. When I hear more about it, I'll post it here.
