Brought her home today, my Sire Marcus Miller M7. It's probably more bass than my current skill level can justify, but I love it anyway!

Nice. I really am attracted to the specs and looks of those. Unfortunately, the only one I've found locally was the blue version. I like this color scheme 100% better. Had such a nice feeling neck, but I am picky about colors (actually have a type of synesthesia that makes it weird).
very nice! it's got a great look, and if it feels good to play = you'll grow into all the rest of it in short order. but i get why you "love it anyway" --- what's not to love?

Sire P7 here. Very happy. Fretwork is awesome.
Just be careful to not strip the nuts on the pots if you ever tighten. The metal is pretty soft and strips easily. All the nuts on my P7 pots were only finger-tight. I found out why...

You may have seen my post on my 5 string Alder M7 (same color which I love). I'm not a huge fan of the body shape but after my experience with my V7 I just HAD to try one of these if only for the increased tonal flexibility offered by the humbuckers and their switching.
I'm still getting to know mine but I will say I am NOT disappointed, and I can live with the aesthetics.
BUT if Sire ever does a J body bass with these pups and switching I will be forced to get one of those pronto!

I have the Blue 2nd Gen m7 (bought new) and after. 6 months I replaced the stock tuners with graph tech ratio tuners, the 2x2 set. They fit perfectly, no fuss, no mods, slipped right into place. big improvement of the stock tuners that could not keep in tune. Love this thing, just get a bit lost in tonal nuances the controls provide…

Beautiful looks on that M7. I have the 6 strings version in blue finish and I absolutely love it, it's a tone machine. After 2 months of heavy use on it, no problems with the hardware so far.
