New bass: which one should I choose?

I've been looking for a new bass for quite some time now, and many of them have been dismissed allready. First I looked for a used one for a good price, but the ones I liked were either too expensive or just sold the week before.

So now I'm gonna buy a new bass. I've managed to narrow it down to 2 basses within my price range:

ESP LTD D4 NS E-Bass, Body: Merbau, Neck thru body, Neck/Fretboard: 5-pc. maple-mahogani/rosewood, 24 Frets, Pickups: ESP SB-4 Set, Electronics: Vol / Bal w/ ESP ABQ3 3-Band Active EQ, Bridge: BB-604 string-thru-body, Color Natural

I really can't decide which one I want. My budget was €450 max, but I'd rather not spend that much. The first bass costs €345 and the second costs €444

I really like the color of the first bass, but I think that the second bass is better because of the difference in price.

I don't really know that much of bass guitars, since I'm only playing since a year and a half and the only bass I own is an Ibanez GSR 190J, so...

I really think it's time for me to get myself a better bass.
I play in a hardcore/metalcore band, if that matters...

If anyone can help me out with making this choice I'd really appreciate it.

though i don't own a neck through, that is where i would lean...

That being said, that brown one is just way to slick! I would get that one even if it were bolt on!

Good Luck!
