New Bass

Traded my Pink '54 RI Fender and a Dunlop Bass Wah for this beauty:

and as you can see (if you look for it), it's a nice trans-white finish, not solid. I wonder if it's a trans finish, or if the finish is a white but it's a thin finish...... hmmmm

One of the guys my son jams with has the 4 string, single MM version. It's a DAMN well made and great sounding bass!!!

Oh, and does anybody know what EXACTLY the 3 way switch does? I know it does something with the humbucker. I'm thinking series/parallel/single coil, but I'm not sure. Nor am I sure on which position does which if I am right.

Up : Front Coil of Bridge
Middle : Bridge(Full)
Down : Rear Coil of Bridge

Let me get used to my new software.

Trans-White is sweet. It's a subtle trans too, which makes it super nice.



Oh, and it's active/passive switching too.

VERY nice! Ive never been too big on Corts, but that one is definantly juicy. On a side note, I like the raised chrome-ish logo on the headstock. Ive noticed more basses going to that recently. Again, very nice, great buy!

The raised chrome logo is a nice touch. I'm not huge on Corts either, but his one really is nice. It's different, it's special. Plus, I'm not a 5er, but wanted a 5-string bass.


Now to come up with a nice name for her/him.

I figured it was on purpose, but if they did it as a trans or if they did it by just using a thin finish.

How's the sound?

The sound is good. Pretty versatile, but with the mid switch up, it's very bassy. Too bassy and muddy for me. I keep it down (mids at a higher frequency). It's got a coil split for the humbucker, a 2 band EQ, 2 different pickups, and active/passive. It's got a good B string and feels solid.

What do you mean by Workingman's Celinder?

The spacing is comfortable to me. I do have a TRB1006, which has a tight spacing, it used to be my main bass so can handle tighter spacing.
