Had this bass for 19 years... well i did sell it once and traded back for it a year later... anyhow its been in storage for two years and the stock bridge was bent when i took it out. About 10 years ago or so the screws had started to pull up from the soft basswood and i replaced them with bigger screws, at which time i noticed the holes were drilled by a drunken korean. Well, I bought a wilkinson bridge for replacement and the holes didnt line up so i prepped for a redrill and this is what i found:
The stock bridge was already crooked (slightly) so i was happy for the redrill but this it crazy. Its good for this bass that i like the neck so much. Just sharing for your entertainment purposes, I hope you enjoy a chuckle or two. Also, the bridge pickup spring has been sitting on the neck PU wire for about 2 decades and miraculously didnt wear through the shielding OR the insulation. Theres another chuckle for you.
