Cool. I never played a Thinline. What does it compare to?

Honestly, not much different than a regular Tele, body binding, different pickguard, little bit hollow, F-hole. The p-90's on this one sound excellent, though!

Which reminds me, next ting I'll order from Gadow will probably be a Bakersfield guitar.


I better order it now... so I'll have it by 2013.

I'm looking to get that stereo-typical Tele-sound.
What amp would one need for that? A Fender Deluxe Reverb... ?

I could probably dial in a great Tele-sound out of my Marshall Haze or Gretsch G5222... but I'm a gear whore recidivist.


If only I were as good at practicing as I am at GASsing.

Or I could get the one Rocket has in stock.

You should, I love 'em style wise, and the slight semi-hollowing makes 'em lighter than average too.

I have no guitar amp, I'm using Amplitube for now, with the Fender sims, but I'm waiting on delivery of a Genz Streamliner and TC 112 cab, hoping that'll do as a multi-tasking rig, maybe throw a Tube Screamer & Carbon Copy in front of it for guitar work....

Stereotypical Tele sound, I'd assume you're right Deluxe Reverb, or maybe a Twin...

If the Genz doesn't work as well as expected for the skinny 6, I was thinking of picking up one of them tiny all tube amps, you know 1-10w, Blackstar or something, probably with reverb, should do the trick.

Actually that amp is too powerful for me, I should have gotten one of those class A 5W Marshall amps.

Heh, 40w would be way too much for me! (though 600w is fine for my bass...)

I'd almost stretch to 20w, but I think 5w, or 10w would be just perfect, so I can crank the thing.

That Class5 Marshall looks pretty neat. There seems to be hundreds of low power all tube guitar amps, though.

Heh, there's 2 bass ones........ both the wrong side of 1500€.

Yeah, I too wish they would make more low power tube bassamps.

I want a Deluxe Reverb, so I could also play my bass through it.
But at 1200 € I better get a new Ampeg PF500 with two 15" cabs. The second cab would mostly be an expensive amp stand.

It is just AWESOME on bass... but only for living room practice.
Just dial back bass and treble, and boost mids.


Another solution would be buying a low power guitar head and a bass cab of your choice.
Mark Olson made a thread about how he uses a Marshall 22W or 30W guitar head as his gigging amp.
