well , im gonna give it a try . if i dont like it ill send it back . so i ordered the neo 10.4 / 410 cab and the bx1200 head . im gonna try a few things with the bx1200 head , ill bridge it on the 410 alone , and ill also run it stereo on the 410 with a 210 . ill run effects to the 210 and not to the 410 . i also have a 810 cab ill try it on and a 118 cab . so i guess ill have to check out the 2 ohm stereo set up and run the dang thing on all of the cabs .... lol anyway , the main set up will be the bx1200 stereo at 4 ohms on the neo 10.4 and for now a peavey 210tvx . if i like this set up i will order the neo 10.2 to replace the peavey . anyone else doin this or have any input ???

Cool! Trying all of the set-up possibilities should be a lot of fun. Good luck with all of that. I was at the Sacramento Carvin store last week and I had a chance to play through a B1500 on top of a 10.4 NEO. I was very impressed with the fidelity and sheer power of that rig.

if im not mistaken. the cabs that amp sells with are a 4x10 and a 18, so Id say that, but I always prefer 410s and a 18 to a 8x10, carvin makes good stuff, they get an 8 in reliabillity, not perfect but still good, bout the same as gk, about the same tone usally good buy man

I just got the BR610 combo myself, and I believe the BX600 head is essentially just 1/2 of the BX1200. It's got excellent clarity and a ton of punch. I'm right now fighting the GAS to get either the 115 or 118 to throw under mine. I might stimulate the economy a bit in May, though.

yea , like i said i have a lot of cab options !!! lol lol .... i have ran the 810 alone for years , have done the biamp 210 / 118 , and so on . so the option to run effects on only one cab really appealed to me . it will sound so much cleaner at higher volumes . but of course i will tinker with all of the cabs and see what fits the most . i just really hope i am happy with the tone of the amp and the new neo cab . i have ran a gk800rb and ampeg 810 for years , i just need something new , but comparble in sound and reliability . and i will always try my best to buy american made products whenever possible .

I like the flexibility of using an amp with stereo/bridged outputs that's why I have an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro. Let us know how it works out for you.

I think you'll really like the bx1200. The bx1200 is a bit warmer than the b1500, but the difference is subtle. Sounds like you made the right choice as bx1200 has a plethora of cab options available. I really like that you can run one 8 ohm cab at 800w (bridged). Nice feature. I own the bx1200 and have owned the now discontinued b800 (not enough power for the rating IMO) and have borrowed the b1500 for a couple weeks. The b1500 has a much more simple layout and in that way I prefer it over the bx1200 as I will rarely use many of the features of the bx1200. Ultimately, to me the clincher was that the b1500 is 10LBS heavier and only 50w louder at 4 ohms.

I also should mention that the bx1200 has a compressor which I actually find useful and like quite a bit.

Both amps are very powerful and the tone is fairly uncoloured, which I like.

its all in and its freakin awesome ... guys i have to say i AM impressed with the gear . this is my first carvin purchase and it has replaced all of my gk and ampeg gear . american made AND affordable . righ tout of the box the cab looks awesome . its very manageable and sounds really huge ... the amp looks good , the knobs are very sturdy feeling and the grapghic is as good as any . the drive can make you think ampeg , but a lot more focused . all of the switches and knobs are very nice feeling and i think it will be around a long time ...
