I have been looking for a new bass and came across the Wan-Bernadel and the Rogeri models at the String Emporium. I am wondering how good are they and which one is better. I play mostly orchestra and solo.

Use the search function. There's lots of info about String Emporium and their basses (including the Wan and the Thompson) as well as their bows. Most people, myself included, have had good experiences dealing with Steve there.
