New Empress Drive

I have it, don’t quite like it, I find it very high gain and a little harsh sounding, and lacks body and punch. I keep the drive and blend both at 25%. It works for bass guitar but doesn’t sound right, as is often the case with “all-instrument” effects pedals on bass.

I tried the Multi Drive long ago and felt similarly. I liked the idea and wanted it to work.

yeah, im deciding between this and the DCX bass for a nice edge of breakup OD, but the YT videos I've seen have not been very convincing so far. Like you said, I find it a bit harsh. Think I will get a DCX instead and hopefully Empress will release a bass specific version like they did with their bass para EQ.
