I wonder if it’s tube? The ‘50’ would make me think it’s only 50 watts. Is it going to be marketed towards recording/studio use? I have so many questions!

I think he's going to be morally obligated to buy one

I have to say, I'm not a huge U2 fan, but I do like his tone. However, I have a feeling this will be a) super heavy and b) not quite loud enough for your typical U2 cover band.

Well JimmyM was wrestling over which amp to use and making his pair of Ampeg 210 AV cabs stand up to his rambunctious Bono, who might have Bono confused with Iggy Pop. This could be the solution if the timing were right.

Personally, my desire to carry around a 55-pound 50-watt combo amp is quite low.

I'll stick with my 30-pound travel setup (Barefaced Super Compact and Mesa Subway 800+, 400 watts @ 8 ohms).

A 50 watt tube amp is gonna be loud as hell. Not sure why there’s much worry for a 115 combo amp. Especially if they make an extension speaker for it….
I’m looking forward to checking one out for sure.

Yeah, Adam Clayton doesn't blow my skirt up as a player. He's definitely good and has decades of live experience, but I couldn't tell him from another player in a blind taste test.

I agree with this, I have never been a fan of signature models or signature gear. I don't want to use someone else's stuff, I want to use my stuff!

you should check out "new years day", "sunday bloody sunday" and "with or without you". Literally three of the most instantly recognizable basslines ever recorded.

That's one big downside of signatures from players who always have techs and roadies. They don't always remember what working players need. Same reason I don't want a Geddy Lee Jazz. I'm not taking off the neck to adjust the truss rod, come on.
