New FSR Jazz

I ordered an FSR (ash body; I have a weakness for trans ash)) Jazz from MF as a backup, figuring I could always replace the pickups if I liked it. Anyway, gigged with it this weekend and it felt, sounded, and looked fantatsic. I'm an old guy with vintage tastes; are these supposed to be this good? Have I been on some other planet? Perhaps I am getting senile, but the thing just knocked me out. Is it the wood? Or did I just get lucky? Anyone else like them too? Pics to follow.

I purchased one a few weeks ago as my new main bass, and I haven't put it down since. It's incredibly well made for the price and it looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see pictures of yours!

I purchased one of these a couple of weeks back and just love it! Right out of the box it had that great Fender Jazz sound. All I've done to it is replace the strap buttons with strap locks.

I have one as well, I play it more than my American P bass now. And like everyone else said, the p/u's sound really good, I have no intention on changing them. The wood grains don't line up perfectly, but you would really have to look hard to notice, anyone else notice this?

I love my FSR from the day I bought it. (Brand new). The biggest problem I had with unfortunately is that the nut snapped after about 4 months, now this is to be expected maybe at about a year of use. And im not abusive to it at all. I guess it was just bad luck on my part. But it sounds beautiful with the half-rounds I got. Next I am planning to instal some Dimarzio Pick-ups and replace the existing pick guard. :bassist: It sounds great even with the Behringer combo amp I have.
