New Guy from Massachusetts

I’ve been reading posts for about a year. Unlike a lot of members I haven’t played for decades. I picked up a guitar 17 years ago at 50 and after about 5 years I started playing in a casual “Friends and Family” band. In 2019 we lost our bass player and couldn’t find anyone to replace him so I bought a bass, an inexpensive used Gretsch G2202, and an amp, and stepped into that role. Wow, I love it so much that I have focused 100% of my music time to learning and playing the bass. Now I have a Fender Mustang PJ and a Lakland Skyline HB 30 that I play through a Markbass Little Vintage head and Orange OBC-112 and at 67 still going strong playing with my band weekly.

I'm 62 and "semi-retired", as I took a Min. full-time hrs/Min. wage job to get health insurance (started collecting SS last Nov.).

YAY!!! Remember, folks - Age and Treachery will always overcome Youth and Skill!! hehe
