New guy

Hey folks

I'm probably a slight anomaly. I originally started playing bass when I was 13 years old. I ended up switching to guitar for about 12 years, but around 3 years ago started suffering from tendonitis and basically had to cease playing. I was then forced to sell most of my gear and pretty much gave in the whole hobby.

Last year I found my first practice bass, and discovered that I could play bass without setting off the tendonitis (I guess it's something to do with my thumb and wrist position and how I hold chords), so I purchased myself a nice shortscale Fender Mustang bass

Recently I changed jobs and now I have a lot more time, money and free space to play and practice, so I'm really looking forward to learning from you guys and getting back to where I was

Pretty much my story also. My rhythm 6 string sits in the corner gathering dust. I had the operation and decided the bass can be played with out hurting my tendonitis. So I now spend my time on bass and cigar box slide guitar.

Always something else we can make music with. cigar box slide guitar, ustin johnson - Bing video

Good luck.
