New jazz bass color suggestions

Had some cans of the above selected colors. Put some Maui blue on to see how bad it is. Or how good. Works to fill in scratches if nothing else. Undecided

Lately I've seen a couple "old Lake placid blue" with a tort guard which looked stunning. That blue could work with the right guard.

I vote a metallic color with some candy shading.

If you have the gear, a large flake with finer flake in the candy and clear coats.

Black
Some shade between silver and damn near black. Solid or metallic.
Some shade of red. Solid or metallic

same here, I replied too with my olympic white and pearl guard but deleted it once I realised OP had already made his mind up. FWIW I'll just shove this on for posterity.

Blue, mint and dark rosewood is a perfect match.

A tort pickguard with a bare natural body would also work well.

This old tuxedo black was hiding a 3 piece body underneath, and was showing the seams on the finish. It’s part of the reason for the refinish, so it’s gonna have to stay painted

I voted purple, but the Bahama Blue looks really good. And, you already own the material. Mint guard would look great. I would also go a step further and go matching headstock.
