I'm joining a new band, playing weddings, partys ect. the bands plays with in ear monitors, with guitar amps and drums shielded.
i was toying the idea of using a pedal board into a preamp/DI and straight into the board. and not carring an amp on stage.
My current rig is a GK MB800 with a SVT210AV (or two when need be). I want to keep my stage volume down, and if i'm wearing in-ears anyways, then i don't see the point of having a cab on stage at all.
I've never done anything like this before, and am looking for opinions.
the effects i'm thinking of are: Envelope Filter, Bass Synth, Octave, compression, with maybe something like a Jule Monique then going into the board.
also looking for advice on a good in ear system. prefer wired to wireless.
