New Markbass amp: Bass Multiamp

They really need to update their website with more info. If this thing can do so much why do they only have 3 short paragraphs on it that barely explain anything? It certainly doesn't make me want to buy it.

Have patience. The website will have more info and there will be videos.

I would not bet on a lot of them in GC. Been in there lately? The stores in Atl have huge quantities of really cheap gear and not much of anything else.

Some of the MarkBass stuff is really good. MB did away with some of the cool stuff though. I think they had too many good ideas too fast. Seems like MarkBass should have waited longer on the MoMark stuff since they had just introduced all the new cool heads Like LMIII, F500, etc.... but they discontinued a bunch of stuff, came out with even more new micros and the MoMark. Just too much too fast I think.

Unfortunately the MarkBass power section does not fair well into an 8 ohm load, not sure why. They kick butt into 4 ohms so I suspect this unit has that same spongy squishy problem as all the others in 8 ohms.

I cannot see many bass players wanting a Swiss Army amp. These have never been popular with most low downers. Many bass players need one really good tone. They really do have some cool products though so I suspect we will see more from them in the future.

I own the LM800 and it's a really great head. Seems like MB would explore a different power section after issuing 800 different versions of front ends.
