New member intro

Hi all,

New guy in town. I’m probably the ultimate absolute beginner who can’t progress through lack of regular practice, which I’m hoping to reverse now I’ve got a bit more time to devote to it. I have two basses, a Dean Edge 4 I active bass, beautiful tiger eye maple body and rosewood fretboard. My pride and joy but slightly harder to play than my basic passive Yamaha TRBX174 with black lacquered body and same rosewood fretboard. The Yam is easier for me to use as it has a wider neck and the strings are wider spaced. The Edge sounds awesome but good fretting is essential to play smoothly. Hope to enjoy the ride with you all and try to unlock any advice, as well as pass on anything I might have.
