new mesa amp

GAH! Of course I am interested in one too! Hopefully it comes in a black too because I bet it would look cool as sh*t sitting on top my Mesa PowerHouse 6x10 and sound great through it too. But in Mesa form, a price tag I will not be able to afford will be attached to it :crying:

I'm not in love with how they look, but they do look cool. I would have dug seeing a classy style like the Buster head. But at the end of the day, it's about how they sound. I'm sure they'll sound awesome. I'm not super excited about them, but I'm sure they're going to be great heads.

With only 120 watts it would be fun to play at home when you want to practice or perhaps to record direct on a bass track in your home studio. But with a live band, it would be hard to believe it has a lot of headroom. The Peavey V3 head seems to be a better option spec wise at this time. Bear in mind I am a huge Boogie fan and a prior 400+ owner (which I still miss).

It seems fender has this covered with there 100t. This is defs meant to go head to head with the 100t in the market imo. 120 watts w 4 6l6's? they would have to be jan/phillips 7581's. i love to see/hear an a/b between the two. U think it will have the traditional mesa sound (if such a thing exists)?

I could play all my folk/rock gigs, likely with only 25 watts.

100, with my big cab, would be enough even for some of my metal stuff.

Of course, I do not care about staying clean, and prefer not to. I think that's what this head is for. It's not aimed at those who want lots of clean headroom.
