I know this has been tried before, though not for several years, but I want to say how useful I think it is going to be. As a UK bassist, I've become somewhat parochial in my old age (not helped by a general anti-US vibe in the world beyond the USA these days - 'nuff said), so it's been a while since I've had a good look at TalkBass. The email showed me instantly why that might have been a mistake, as I found almost every post of interest.
Please keep this going - the advantages in both specific bass material and, more generally, the cross-cultural connection it will stimulate could well be a good thing all round.
