Double Bass new (old) tune up on myspace

Jon has posted some stuff from a gig at Sofia's with a really great human being, "Red" Horndstrom. Red's no longer in New York (sorry to say) but trying to match his relaxed timefeel was an experience I'll always treasure. Be sure to read Jon's intro before listening!

Yeah, that's a nice warm vibe happening there. Icing the martinis in the background adds a bit of character. (at least, it ain't your infamous blender).
Red is 86...man, that's wonderful. Bet he's got some stories. (besides the ones he's playing).
The things that jump out at me are Jon's block chords. I love playing behind those. Kid piano players don't do that **** anymore. Their loss, IMO. It gives so much breath to your bass lines in between his statements. It's like a team effort between Jon and you.
Not to suck up to get you to tell me about the midget or anything, but as usual, I love your playing. The bass sounds great....all even up and down the board. Meaty, as per. Also, as per, less is more for me. I'd hire you in a mint if I played piano or guitar. So much substance in your work.

I only had time for "But Not" and "You or...." I'll check back in to bump the thread.

PS. YES, Jon!
