I finally finished the P/J today. It plays and sounds great, and it looks super stealthy. Volume, blend & tone. Body stained black then numerous costs of clear satin poly.

Body: Alder from eBay (Rosser)
Neck: Wenge from eBay (China)
Tuners: from eBay (BadAss)
Pickups: from eBay (Wlkinson)
Bridge: from eBay "string-thru" (Bitteroot)
Pickguard: WD Music Products
String Tree: from eBay (Hipshot)
Misc Parts: from eBay
Tone Control: ToneStyler Bass 10 from Stellartone

That's a real black beauty ! 🤩

Those Wilkinson pickups seem to be underrated IMO and ALL of the basses I heard with those pickups sounded great so I don't know how come it's not more frequently used.

You mentioned the tuners are Wilkinson but they seem to be some Badass instead ?

Oh, and the back of this neck : :drool::drool::drool: !

You are correct on the tuners. I have a set of Wilkinson tuners and used them on something else.

As far as the Wilkinson pickups are concerned, yes they are highly underrated. I have them in 4 basses. I also put them in a bass I built for Sonny Lemaire of Exile.
