Seems like the perfect compliment to a Headway Preamp

Why haven't I heard anything about this on Talkbass yet?

I used an Ampeg B 100 (?) 1x10 combo 20-watts and then a Carvin PB 100 1x10 100-watt combo for my upright bass.

Not a lot of low bass but plenty of mids and highs to project into the room and just enough to augment the natural acoustic sound of the bass itself.

I use something bigger now simply because I don't have those amps anymore. I kinda miss them now as they were small and most of the time were enough.

It's a 10" speaker, only 140w, and 30lb. It might work well for upright but I think there are more attractive options, feature wise, on the market. Not sure there is anything more affordable than this though. I'd like to hear more.

I agree. My Genzler Acoustic Pro Gollihur Version is a better amp, BUT it's also about 4 times the money. If you add the cost of a Headway Preamp you're getting closer to the same price. For someone who already has a good pre-amp this might be a good options.

Like you, I would like to hear it.

THR30ii. Guitar, bass, keyboard. Could even do low volume DB gigs I suppose.

Has battery power and also integrated Line6 GT2 wireless.

One of the guitar students at the U has one of those. It’s really nice and I was considering that one as well. In the end, his teacher recommended the Spark. He was recently over at the house and played through it and sounded fantastic.

I just got the XSonic ULooper that is a looping pedal compatible with both the Yammie THRs and the Sparks. Loving it. Upping my practice game esp since I got my digital piano connected to the THR. Gamechanger!

On sale rn for $80. Hard to believe it's so cheap. Got it through amazon and received it in a couple of hours.

I’ve got a Spark 40 for the same kinds of reasons, inexpensive and pleasant to play a little electric guitar in my comfy chair. Makes a lot of usable sounds for the guitar but I wasn’t as happy with the bass. Not sure if it was my presets or what but the speaker clipped/farted out at a much lower volume than I expected. But for an amp that costs less than a nice pedal, it does a lot
