New preamp - Mayfly Sunset

Hello!

This has just came out recently :

Disclaimer : To be fully transparent, I know the owner and helped designed the pedal, but I have no parts nor have been paid to do so.
Interesting. I would have liked to hear how the Presence and Resonance affect the tone…

True bypass, Resonance emphasis lows and punch, and Presence adds some air. No digital cab sim on this one, but sounds like a cooked in (a bit like SansAmp). Sounds pretty great, tight and punchy, very good for tubey clean or lightly overdriven tones, It won't however bring you into Modern distorted tones à la Darkglass by it's own, but you still can acheive this using a distortion pedal before the preamp if needed.

So I can plug this directly into my DAW and have 0 latency?
The implication is that the pedal is fully analog and doesn’t introduce any latency itself as compared to a digital pedal which does, albeit in such small quantities that it’s inconsequential for most applications. Your DAW will still have latency based on the system and what’s running on it. No pedal can change that.

I know.

I was just implying that they might want to change their sales pitch, cause it makes it sounds like a used car salesman.

I agree. In general, I find the ad copy to feel pretty vague and with a bias suggesting that digital is bad without actually stating it. It might be a very nice pedal, but the ad copy definitely put me off right out of the gate.

Kinda wish it could have the 1/4'' jacks on the top. Also, the graphic design reminds me of a Dial Home Device from Stargate.

Yeah, the 0 latency part is a little odd and I listened to the samples from the Warmoth video first. IMHO, terrible. The recorded individual tracks below the video were much better. I already have a few preamp pedals, so I'm not really in the market. I guess it's competing with the Sansamp BDDI.
