New Ric Owner looking for an amp

If you can afford it the Ampeg PF-20T or 50T are wonderful with a Ric. I also like the Ashdown CTM-30. Those rigs are light weight and portable with the 12" cabinet of your choice.

My all time favorite amp paired with my Ric is the Ampeg V4B. I have an early 70's version and it just makes everything come alive.

That said, your Ric will sound like a Ric through pretty much anything. Tube amps are my recommendation if you can afford them.

Good luck and enjoy

BAER ML112 cab. Designed specifically with the Squire proggy sound in mind. Takes a lot of power because is houses very good speakers. Sounds great overdriving with a mid-driver instead of a tweeter. A GK MB Fusion would drive it nice. I also like the Rootmaster 500 from Ashdown because the drive sounds good. If you don't mind a little extra weight, can't beat the GK 700RBII or 1001RBII.

My Ric 4003 sounds good thru any amp. This is what I use.
