NEW RIG (W/PICS)!!! (and a looong story)

Nice rig!

I've been looking at getting nearly the same exact setup, and have gone through some of the things you have, as well! Almost a scary coincidence, haha.

First things first, though, I need to get a Schecter Stiletto Exotic first - hunting for good deals still (just saw a great deal go before my eyes last week :crying: ).
Then after that, I'll be working my way towards the Kustom head, plus an Avatar 210 kappa pro to use with the Hartke VX115 I'm using right now. Eventually, I'd like to get a nice cab loaded with 12s or 15s to compliment it.

Congrats again! Enjoy! :D

At last, this guy brought the cases home last Saturday and I'm now having fun with my new digital camera. He told me that he was going to get the "front" and "rear" stickers for the amp's case. Overall, I'm satisfied with his work.

That's some nice cabinets and amps there - and here I am, so bad at playing that I won't even invest in anything other than headphones, for fear of neighbours and gf's thoughts :crying:

You what? Is that for real!? I'm glad I own a Mac (Alt+1 (where the exclamation mark is = ¡, shift+alt for the question mark ¿)

"guitar players say bass players are just shmucks who cant play guitar". when they say that to me...i bind and gag them and shove them infront of my rig... i release them when their ears bleed :)

Man, the only thing I'm completely sure right now is that the total cost of the full rig minus the cases was around US$2100 including shipping, but I think that the amp was around US$500 or 600. I think you're being asked for the right price.

Unfortunately, right now I don't have any audio clips of my amp. You can see it in action Invalid Link Removed and here, but the sound is actually a mix of the amp and the PA system captured by the camera's microphone.

The amp doesn't have 1/4" outputs. Only speakons, which hasn't been a problem for me since my Avatars also come with speakons. I think an adapter should be available (Edit: Maybe something like Invalid Link Removed?)

Thank you for your comments, guys! I'm still very satisfied with my rig. Of course you can find lots of great amps, but I think nothing can beat this quality/power/price relationship.

Nice rig!

I miss my Bongo, BTW. I got used to its looks pretty quickly, and other than it being slightly uncomfortable for playing while seated due to the lower horn, it was a fantastic bass.

I know what you mean about it being HOT, though. The first time I plugged it in I nearly blew out my windows when I cranked it up.

It's no doubt been quite a hassle to get gear where you are located. I'm glad it's all worked out and that you were able to put together such an impressive setup.

Best of luck!
