New Roscoe Day For Somebody!

So Joe, what's happening? Did ya get it, did ya get it? :hyper:

It arrived 15 minutes ago Dave and you were right on! By far the most beautiful bass that I've ever seen. And it plays like a dream! Super low action, no string buzz & a huge phat tone.
I can't wait to gig it out and see how it sounds in the mix. The only thing up in the air would be whether I swap out the Roscoe Barts for the Bart CB's. I should be able to make that decision by gigging it out this weekend.

I'll post some "proof" pic's later tonight!

The oil finish definitely adds to the handmade look and feel of a Roscoe. Just awesome! :)

WOW!

Congradulations my brotha! Can't wait to hear more about it;)

:D

Here's a couple of "proof it's here" pics. The camera's on low res and I have no idea how to get it off and really don't care right now!:D

I'd much rather play it than take pic's of it! :bassist:

I'm digging it Joe, Congrats! I love the 12 fret inlay (among everything else!).

Personally, I am really glad I stepped up to a 6 string bass this year and it looks like you are happy as well.

I hope the 2 of you enjoy your honeymoon this week :smug:

I'm gonna need to borrow some of Jerry's diapers if he's not saving em up for his impending bout due to a certain CAR Century.

That bass is beautiful Joe!

Congrats my brother!

Joe, play it in joy and good health, for as many decades as you wish! 'Tis a wonderful instrument, crafted by artists, sold by the most ideal music store I know (which, if they also sold analog synths, would collapse into a singularity of coolness and pure sound).

Ray, I'd never jump the line! Besides, I think Greg will make me buy one before I can spec another....

Thanks guys! The bass exceeded every expectation that I had (and I usually have high ones). The oil finish just absolutely looks and feels awesome! The setup is excellent, super low action with no fret buzz. The tone is phat and BIG in the lowend and nice and smooth in the top end. I can't wait to gig out with it.
I went back and forth all night playing it and then sitting it in the stand so I could just look at it.

Pictures just don't do it justice (especially mine;I should send it to Jerry or Todd so they can take some real photos).

The only thing that I'm disappointed in is that Greg sent the bass with the ball ends TERRIBLY misaligned! Not a single one matches!

:hmm: I think that I sense rebellion!

:D

Thanks Greg!

No worries, Ray. Got plenty. Around these parts I've learned to buy in bulk.

Thanks for having my back(side) brother.;)

I was just teasing you brother.:D Everyone on the list can take their turn before me.

Best thing about your design, I get to see it and play it in just a couple months.:smug:

Joe, The ball ends being misaligned were sent that way on purpose.;) You have to straighten them to unlock the Roscoes true potential.:hiding:

Walk to the path of enlightenment, I have revealed nothing.:ninja:

Maybe Roscoe should design a custom bridge that only allows the ball ends to sit one way. That way, they're always lined up.

One thing I noticed on mine is that the factory D'Addario strings all have brass ends but the after market ones have the colored ball ends. What gives?
