No VTC. I do love it, although the strings are a little brighter than I prefer. Nothing that a few hours of playing can't cure.
I gotta say, the single coils were an improvement in sound (IMO, YMMV, of course). I do use the VTC sometimes, as well.

Very cool, congrats!! None of mine have or have had SC's in them. I prefer a bass without VTC. I think, though, I'll be ordering a 24 fret 4 string real soon with singles. We'll see!!

Well, I didn't get alot of time to play it last night because I got it so late and I didn't want to annoy the neighbors. So far, this bass is everything I hoped for. The tone is fat and fantastic, and the neck feels thinner (front to back) than my Fender Jazz Deluxe. This is the only bass I've ever owned that came perfectly setup in the box. All I had to to is tune up and go. The action is low, with no fret buzz due to my heavy right hand.
Using my Tascam Bass Trainer, I played along with some of my cover band's songs at volume. The bass seems to sit well in the mix. So far, I'm a happy man.

Very cool and that's a beautiful bass. +1 on the set-up. While I like my action just a touch lower than the standard Sadowsky set-up, and I also like the strings to more follow the radius of the neck vs. the more 'straight-across' set-up that Sadowsky uses in the shop, I can get the action to just where I like it with simple saddle adjustments..... no buzzes whatsoever.... the fretwork on these things is amazing.
