Double Bass New Standard Ply and the Full Circle

Good morning,
I have a New Standard (Ply) and would like to have a Fishman full circle installed. I don't have the means to measure the post size to select the correct Full Circle. Could anyone who has a New Standard and Full Circle tell me what size post Arnold used ( I have his "black aluminum" wheels).

Hi Chris,
I did email Arnold and he thought they were the 5/16 shaft, but I should measure to be sure. I don't have any calipers (sp?), and I'm looking at the 5/16 adjusters and they look huge to me ( compared to the installed ones). My problem is, I don't want to drive two hours to my luthier only to turn around and drive home because I need the 1/4 or 6x1 mm. size.

Candyman,
Take a look at this from Bob Gollihur's website. All you need is a little ruler that measures both metric and inches.

If you have a camera with a screw mount underneath, see whether the adjuster will screw into the camera easily. If so, it's a ¼x20 screw. If it does not easily screw into the hole, don't force it—it's not ¼x20.

To determine a different size, take the adjuster to the hardware store, and see which size nut will fit.

I've had to mount FC's into DB bridges 3x, including on basses made by Arnold. Since I'm in Florida and he's in NY, and I didn't want anyone else to work on the bass, Arnold told me how to do it. The issue is that many adjuster wheel threads are bigger than what FC's use. If you are stuck, respond here or call Arnold. My info is from 2 to 3 years ago, so things might have changed.
