Just put new D'addario black nylon tapewounds on my acoustic Ibanez PCBE12MH!! Wow!
I love the tone, the feel and the look of these strings. It`s like this all mahogany bass was meant to have these black strings. Maybe just in my head but I even think they add a little unplugged volume.
The phosphor bronze that were on it from the factory had too much string noise, clank and `acoustic guitar sound` for my liking.
The only issue I have with them is that now I `need`to change the machine heads from chrome to black to complete the look...(wife sighs heavily and rolls her eyes!)
With these on my ABG and chrome flats on my Warwick Streamer, I may never need different strings again
