Epiphone has done the best thing they could do for basses the new Thunderbird Pro IV & V's. Neck-through 7 piece mahogany & walnut neck. New T-pro humbucking pickups with active electronics and eq. They also tore off the 3pt. bridge and put on kinda a fender style bridge. Aesthetically they did awesome things like the black pickguard with white t-bird logo and also changed the vintage sunburst finish and made it more transparent as well as adding a trans black finish and a completely transparent natural oil. They all look really awesome. Now one con tho is since its a neck through they could have put the strap button on the back to avoid neck dive but you know if it was perfect it probably wouldn't be for sale. But here's the real fun part this is released in not only the classic 4 string format but a new 5 string format for those t-bird fans who need that extra hi or extra low from a 5 string unfortunately it only comes in the natural oil so far. and since its suggested at 832 it'll probably sell at 500.

But yah check it out for yourself here http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Epiphone/Thunderbird-Pro-IV/Overview.aspx for the 4 string and here http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Epiphone/Thunderbird-Pro-V.aspx for the 5 string
