My tattoo artist stays booked for months in advance so I just finally got my turn last week with an appointment that I made in March. I had no set agenda, because he is a world-class freehand artist and everything he has done has far exceeded my expectations and my own vision.
So last Saturday, I suggested that perhaps it was time to sleeve off my right arm and he set to work.
All in all, we did about 3.5 hours in the chair. He had already finished several pieces and he tied them together with some traditional, yet unconventional background and "trinket" type sleeving. The black widow is on the ball of my wrist. As a gardener, I frequently come into contact with black widows and I admire and fear them. The skull is directly on my elbow. He added ladybugs walking around on my Black Flag bars and other pieces he has previously finished. He also wrapped a script piece of my son's name on my shoulder. All of it lightly and vaguely sketched out in pen on the spot.
